Kerry Murphy Obituary
From a young age, Kerry met life's challenges with remarkable courage. A bicycle accident at age 13 and a battle with cancer during his senior year of high school became defining moments that shaped his outlook. Rather than slowing him down, these experiences deepened his appreciation for every moment and fueled his commitment to bringing laughter and joy to those around him.
Kerry found a second home at Lakeview Harbor, where his dedication and attentiveness earned the admiration of his coworkers. He was known not only for his strong work ethic but also for the care he showed toward others' well-being.
A gifted musician, Kerry expressed himself through piano-performing for loved ones and composing original pieces that reflected his creative spirit. His passion extended to the stage as an actor and a competitive spirit in basketball, pool, foosball, frisbee golf, and darts. Whatever the activity, Kerry's infectious enthusiasm brought people together.
He is remembered with love by his father Dan Murphy; mother Mary Tucker (Becky); brother Devon Murphy (Kim); nephew Noah Murphy; and many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
Kerry's memory lives on in the music he played, the laughter he shared, and the hearts of all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ochsner Cancer Institute in tribute to Kerry's strength and spirit.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation to honor Kerry's life at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner, LA on Sunday, January 25, 2026. Visitation from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
