Kevin Benoit Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Louisiana Funeral Services & Crematory - Broussard on Mar. 20, 2026.
Kevin Paul Benoit, born on June 12, 1979, was called to his heavenly home on March 14, 2026, at the age of 46.
Kevin was a man you didn't misunderstand. He was as real as they come, authentic and genuine. He carried a tough exterior, the kind that told the world he could handle anything thrown his way. But those who truly knew him knew better. Beneath that grit was a heart that ran deep-loyal, protective, and fiercely devoted to the people he loved. If Kevin had your back, you never had to look over your shoulder.
He leaves behind so many that love him dearly, including his wife of 25 years, Latrisha Benoit; his loving mother, Anna Allen; stepfather, Eugene Benoit; his sisters, Stacey Benoit, Christine Benoit Doucet (Ryan), Kelly Benoit Calais (Kerby), Brandy Benoit (Travis), and Amy Benoit (Antionette); his son, Kealan Robinson, and his stepchildren, Sidney Williams III, Latreasha Williams, DeVondrick Harding, Quinndred Batiste, Ja'Bryant Batiste, and Jacibiran Harding, along with 14 grandchildren and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were all touched by his presence.
He now rests in the arms of those who went before him-his sister, Melody Benoit; his father, Archie Taylor; and his maternal grandparents, Clarence and Ada Wiltz Allen. We find comfort knowing that reunion was loud, full of love, and long overdue.
Kevin had a smile that said everything words didn't have to. He loved to laugh and enjoyed life in simple, real ways-watching sports, especially basketball, riding his bike wherever he needed to go, grabbing a good meal, listening to music, and spending time with his dogs, especially his pitbulls.
The only boy out of his 6 siblings, he was destined to be a protector. He was down to earth and loved his family deeply; always playing with his nieces and nephews, spending countless hours on the phone with his sisters almost daily and absolutely honored and adored his mother.
His absence will be felt in everyday moments for years to come in phone calls not made, laughter not heard, and spaces that only he could fill, but love, real love, doesn't leave. It stays. It shows up in memories, in stories, in the way we take care of one another. And in that way, Kevin will never be far.
