Kevin John Ewert, 60, of Winona, died Monday, September 8, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Rochester - Methodist Campus. Kevin was born June 17, 1965 in Devils Lake, ND to John and Loretta (Dyer) Ewert.
Kevin married the love of his life, Lisa Meyer, on May 30, 1987 and they made their home in different areas of the Midwest before settling in Winona in 2002 where they raised their family. Kevin was a dedicated insurance agent with State Farm Insurance, where he built lasting relationships and earned the respect of both clients and colleagues alike. He held an Associate's Degree and embraced his role in the insurance industry with integrity and commitment.
His hobbies include golf, basketball, water skiing, time spent outdoors in the sunshine, and did we mention, golf? Kevin had a total of 7 hole-in-ones and 1 albatross (debatably more impressive than a hole-in-one) in his golf career. But nothing brought him more joy than spending time and making memories with his grandkiddos- Emily, Sydney, Ruby, Sam, and Maverick
Kevin had an amazing 38 years of marriage to his wife Lisa, and one of his biggest achievements was seeing all 4 of his children happily married and living for the Lord. Kevin was an active member of Pleasant Valley Church and was a true man of faith. Kevin is survived by his wife, Lisa Ewert, and their children: Justin (Annika) Ewert, Kayla (Derek) Gay, Jayson (Cat) Ewert, and Riley (Ashley) Ewert; grandchildren, Emily, Sydney, Ruby, Samuel, and Maverick; parents, John and Loretta; siblings, Jerry (Abby) Ewert and Wanda (Brian) Coburn. Kevin's life will be celebrated with a memorial service on September 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Valley Church. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. Additionally, a visitation will be held on September 17, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Hoff Celebration of Life Center - Goodview.
