Kevin Mark Fullerton, 69, of Rock Hill, SC, originally from Elmira, NY, passed away peacefully at home on July 18, 2023.
Kevin was born on April 3, 1954, to Deborah and James Fullerton. Growing up in Elmira, Kevin met and fell in love with Susan, who has been his steadfast partner in life and his wife of 48 years.
Kevin was a loving and proud father to Amy (Karl) Brooks, Sara (Brice) Mollohan, Adam (Brea) Fullerton, Patrick (Keleigh) Fullerton, and Kelley (Trevor) Jewell, and a proud Papa to Jacob, Lauren, Avery, Hudson, and Harrison. He was a constant source of strength, warmth, and wisdom for his family, always leading by example. His pride in his children and grandchildren was evident to everyone who knew him.
Known for his strong work ethic and dedication, Kevin spent many years with Proctor & Gamble before joining Verizon Communications, where he retired after almost 20 impactful years. Throughout his career, his dedication, integrity, and hard work were always evident, leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and friends.
Kevin's passion for sports was an integral part of his character and his favorite pastime. He was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees, a dedicated supporter of the Florida Panthers, and a fan of Syracuse sports. Kevin took particular pride in Army West Point, where his sons Adam and Patrick both played lacrosse and later served in the U.S. Army. Kevin's passion for sports didn't stop at being a fan. He was deeply committed to passing on his love of sports to his children. For many years, he devoted his time and energy to coaching them, not only teaching them the rules of the game but also instilling in them the values of dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship. His love for coaching was a testament to his desire to share the joy and lessons that come from sports. His legacy continues through his children and the countless children that had the privilege of having him as a coach.
Remembered for his toughness, hard work, and humor, Kevin's most defining qualities were his love and pride for his family. His loving spirit, strong character, and his ability to find humor in life's challenges will always remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
In addition to his immediate family, Kevin leaves behind a legacy of love and memories with numerous other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at Van Wyck Presbyterian Church on August 3 at 2pm, with a formal procession and burial at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens to follow. His celebration of life will also be streamed through the Bass Cauthen Funeral Home website. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Van Wyck Presbyterian Church, K9's For Warriors, or Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Kevin's name. The family would like to send their heartfelt thanks to Interim Healthcare and Hospice as well as South Carolina House Calls.

My heart is full of pain to hear of Kevin“s passing. We shared many fun times in homeroom at SHS. Kevin also was the matchmaker for my husband and me. We even named our son Kevin after him. He was a great person and I will always remember him dearly.
