Kevin was born on November 29, 1962 in Cass City, Michigan to the late Kent and Barbara (Johnson) Haupt. He attended Sandusky High School, graduating with the Class of 1980. Kevin married Kathy Kreger on September 14, 2002 in Snover, Michigan and together they built a beautiful life. He was a faithful member of Croswell Wesleyan Church, where he enjoyed fellowship and worship with his church family. Kevin was a dedicated and hard-working man who was self-employed as a fur trader, proudly continuing the business started by his grandfather. An avid outdoorsman, Kevin loved spending time hunting and fishing. He also cherished quiet moments reading his Bible and leading Bible studies with his family after dinner. Kevin loved the game, Aggravation, and enjoyed sitting around the table laughing and making memories with his family. Above all, Kevin deeply loved his wife and children, who were his pride and joy.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Kathy Haupt; children, Melodie, Elisha, Amanda, and Jordan (Jeanelle); his brother, Brian (Patty) Haupt; and his close friend and brother in Christ, Michael Vanatta.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Kent and Barbara Haupt; brothers, Brent Haupt and Brad Haupt; and father-in-law, Sandy Kreger.
The family will receive visitors from 9-11 AM on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Croswell Wesleyan Church, 200 Peck Rd., Croswell, Michigan.
A memorial service will take place at 11 AM on Satruday, November 1, 2025 at Croswell Wesleyan Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Marsh Funeral Chapel, 396 South Sandusky Road, Sandusky, Michigan 48471.
