Kevin Healy Obituary

Kevin P. Healy, 72, passed away December 30, 2023 at his home in Belle Plaine, KS. He was born October 28, 1951 in Salina, KS to Vincent and Constance (Kerr) Healy. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969.
Kevin was a longtime resident of the Wichita area where he was a machinist and millwright for local aircraft manufacturing companies including Cessna, Boeing, and Spirit. Early in his career he was an automobile mechanic. He retired in 2016 after over thirty years in the aircraft industry.
He was a lifelong classic car enthusiast and enjoyed tinkering on anything mechanical or electronic. A favorite pastime was perfecting his barbequing skills in the backyard with various grills and smokers. Kevin was always willing to help a friend when needed. He had a quick wit and always enjoyed a good joke or story.
Kevin is survived by his son Patrick Healy of Spring Hill, FL; daughter Elizabeth Watson of Garden Plain, KS; granddaughters, Katie and Layla Healy; brothers, Dan Healy (Doreen) of Lincoln, KS and Kirk Healy (Deborah) of Bowie, TX; sister Heidi Bradford (Randy) of Tecumseh, KS; a niece and nephew; and beloved cats, Tom and Walter. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will take place at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 19, 2024 at Parsons Funeral Home – Hall Chapel in Lincoln, KS. The family will greet friends at the funeral home for an hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow the service at Lincoln Cemetery. A gathering for family and friends will follow at the Lincoln V.F.W.
