Kevin Jones

Kevin E. Jones, 69, of Plano, Idaho, passed away September 21, 2025. He was born July 25, 1956, in Rigby, Idaho to Albert Jones and Joan Youngstrom Jones Buckland. He was raised and attended schools in the Rigby area.

Kevin was a hard worker and started at an early age, moving sprinkler pipe for area farmers. After he finished his schooling, he went to work for IFA as a chemical/fertilizer field man. IFA later merged with Valley Wide Cooperative, and he worked for them until his retirement, working for a total of 42 years.

From a young age, Kevin enjoyed airplanes, especially World War II airplanes. He liked making model planes and had many of them at his home.

He loved golf and became a skilled golfer. He taught his grandchildren to golf, and some of his favorite moments were when he could spend time golfing with them. He also enjoyed shooting guns. He loved movies, video games, and playing guitar, which he taught himself to play.

He was very proud of his family and supported them in all of their activities. He was the life of the party and never failed to make everyone laugh.

He is survived by his children, Brandon Jones, Lacee Jones, Courtney (Derek) Gibbons, Adam Jones; his mother, Joan Jones Buckland; siblings, Cyndy McGraw, Val Jones, Kerry (Melanie) Jones, Teresa Nielsen, Tammy (Jeff) Finn; and seven grandchildren, Aislynn, Eisley, Dyson, Diesel, Ottilee, Rider, and Hesston. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Jones.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 3, at the Plano Cemetery where his friends will provide a flyover in his honor.
