Beloved father, Pawpaw, brother, uncle, and friend, Kevin Keith Larsen, was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on October 22, 1960, to Ken and Jennie Larsen. He joined his cherished wife, Annette, in eternity on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
Kevin was a Bossier High School graduate and attended Louisiana Tech University. A generous man, whenever the children in his extended family were seeking sponsors for school events or selling items for fundraisers, he did not just buy one candy bar, he would buy the entire box or sponsor at a higher level than requested. He deeply loved his family. Kevin also had a love and appreciation for music, which he passed down to both his children. He enjoyed playing the guitar in his youth and the trumpet in his high school band. He also enjoyed being on the water on his boat and made many memorable trips with family and friends from Pensacola to Tarpon Springs and even Key West. Kevin loved automobiles, a love inspired by years spent working in his automotive and industrial paint supply businesses, Paul Lashley's Supply Inc. and CPS Coatings which he owned and managed. He worked tirelessly for years to build the business so he could have something of value to pass down to his children.
He and Annette always enjoyed holding the annual family Thanksgiving lunch at their beautiful and historic home. To continue the tradition even without his precious wife, he bravely hosted the family one last time this past Thanksgiving serving his popular smoked ducks.
Kevin was a proud dad who loved working side by side at Lashley's with his son, Keith. He was also so proud of his daughter, Kim, his daughter-in-law, Katy, son-in-law, James, and always enjoyed being Pawpaw to his precious granddaughters.
Preceded in death by his parents Ken and Jennie Larsen; brothers, Krill, Ken Jr., and Kirk Larsen; and brother-in-law, Gerry Mills, Kevin is survived by his son, Keith Larsen and wife, Katy; daughter, Kimberly Wilson and husband, James; granddaughters, Keegan Larsen, and Olivia and Amelia Pernici; and brother, Kyle Larsen. Left to cherish his memory are brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Tutti Burnes, Kenny and Glenda Fuller, Ronald and Janie Landry, Pat Mills; uncle, Paul Lashley, Jr and wife, Cathy; nieces and nephews, Tracey Justice, Tricia (Jim) Firth, Kristy Hathorn, Kim Fuller, J.R. (Kimber) Fuller, Meredith Johnson, and Jennifer (David) Roberts; a host of great nieces and nephews; and many friends.
A celebration of Kevin's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Osborn Funeral Home, 3631 Southern Avenue in Shreveport with his brother-in-law, John Burnes officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 a.m.
On the water again, headed towards the open sea, searching for Valhalla, just my girl and me.
