Lucile Hamilton Westbrook Kennemer, 74, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025. Born February 21, 1951, to George James Westbrook, Sr. and Alma Lucile Hamilton Westbrook. A celebration of Lucile's life will be held at Osborn Funeral Home on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., officiated by Pastor Glenn Ware. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Forest Park Cemetery after the funeral service. Lucile, affectionately known as "Pudlu" to her family and close friends, was a 1968 graduate of All Saints Episcopal School in Vicksburg, Mississippi, then went on to attend Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was a loving mother and a passionate advocate for her community through years of volunteer service. She was best known for her unwavering devotion to her Lord and Savior, a faith that guided her throughout her life. She will be remembered as a woman of refined simplicity and timeless elegance. Proceeded in death by her grandparents, David Philip Hamilton and Ruth Atkins Hamilton; parents, George James Westbrook, Sr. and Alma Lucile Hamilton Westbrook; brother, George James Westbrook, Jr.; and sister, Mary Victoria Westbrook Horton. Survived by her son, Caleb Kennemer; daughter, Ruth Kennemer; beloved granddaughter, Anna-Kate Wolf; brother, Philip Westbrook and wife, Kay; sister-in-law, Kathy Westbrook of Albuquerque, NM; and a host of nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews: Talmage Cole Horton, Justin March Horton, Jakob Edward Westbrook and family friend, Robert Francis Vinet. In loving memory of Lucile, the family welcomes guests to wear their finest attire as a heartfelt tribute to her life, spirit, and enduring elegance. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Angels or the Mr. and Mrs. David P. Hamilton Endowed Scholarship of Centenary College of Louisiana.
