Kevin Malone Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 13, 2025.
Kevin James Malone, age 75, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on February 22, 1950, in Dundee, Scotland, to Gerard and Kathleen Malone. Kevin grew up in Lochee, Dundee and attended St Mary's Primary and St John's High School.
Kevin began his career as a Maintenance Fitter with Timex in Dundee, later moving to London to work for London Transport. While in living in London, he immersed himself in the vibrant Mod scene of the era, fondly reminisced about the legendary bands he saw-Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, The Who-performed in iconic venues such as The Odeon and The Marquee. In 1980, Kevin immigrated to the United States with his beloved bride, now former spouse, Terilyn Malone. Together they began a new chapter in Minnesota, where Kevin built a steady and dedicated career as a Machinist with the Metropolitan Council, proudly serving for 30 years. After retiring, Kevin embraced a sunnier pace of life in Phoenix, Arizona, spending the last 13 years surrounded by friends, family, and the warmth of the desert-often found poolside, sharing stories, laughter, and the easy comfort of a life well-lived.
Scottish pride remained a defining part of Kevin's life. He valued Scotland's history, culture, people, and music-with the call of the bagpipes holding a special place in his heart. He was a dedicated Glasgow Celtic supporter who enjoyed talking football with anyone who would listen. He treasured the visits from family and friends who journeyed from Scotland to visit him.
Kevin had a true zest for life, living each day to the fullest. He was endlessly free-spirited, quick to make people laugh, had the gift of gab, always eager to strike up conversation with anyone and everyone, and was deeply found of his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Gerard and Kathleen Malone, and his cherished sister, Kathleen Nicolson.
Kevin is survived by his brother Stephen (Shona), sister Caroline; his children Mark Higgins, Tiffany (Erik) Eshom, Kara Malone, and Scott Malone; and his grandchildren Sinead, Mark, Audrey, McKenna, Ellia, Madelyn, Cayden, and Jasmine, along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Kevin will be remembered for kindness, humor, and unforgettable stories. His spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved him. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Kevin Malone, please visit our floral store.

Earlier today

the machinist fondly remembers you "scotty". your stories were eye opening, and your fashion style was truly amazing. you relished life, the sun on your face, verbal sparring and the love of your family. you were as "cool" as a cucumber, so it took a lot to get your "goat". We at the metro plant miss you telling us to "calm down" and may you rest in peace!
