Russell Kevin McCullough, 54, of Paris, Ky passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 25, 2025 from natural causes, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on June 3, 1971 in Lexington, Ky, Kevin lived a life defined by his love for family. While his path was not always easy and included struggles that weighed heavily on him, he remained a man who loved deeply. He was a good husband, a father who tried in his own ways, and above all, a grandfather who adored his grandchildren. That love was his legacy, and it will continue to live on in his family's hearts.

Kevin's hobbies were as unique as he was. He found peace outdoors through hunting and fishing, and he expressed his creativity through painting model cars. His love for motorcycles and fascination with skulls reflected his individuality, and those passions will be fondly remembered by those who knew him.

Though he faced struggles in life, Kevin never let them define him. He was remembered first and foremost as a good man-a loving husband, a wonderful father, and a loyal friend. His heart for others, his faith, and his laughter will continue to live on in those who knew him best.

Left to cherish Kevin's memory are the children he was so proud of, Kayla (Kevyn) Slaughter and Robert (Alexis "Lexi") McCullough; the grandchildren who loved him so dearly, Landon Olivares and A'Kari Slaughter; and his former wife, Shari Coots.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all who have reached out with love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Kevin will be greatly missed, but his memory and love will remain forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
