Vickie Sweet Obituary
LEXINGTON — Vickie Sue Sweet, born Sept. 3, 1949, passed away peacefully on Aug. 16, 2025, with family present at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington.
Vickie was the cherished daughter of the late Harold Lewis and Ruby Francis (Swearingen) Schmidt. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Linda Truitt.
She is survived by her daughter, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her nephew, and many extended family members who loved her dearly.
Vickie loved traveling and exploring new places, but she also found joy in the simple comforts of home—especially while watching her favorite HGTV shows.
In keeping with her wishes, Vickie has been cremated.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025, at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 Tuesday.
