Kevin Monarrez, 32, of Franklin Park, IL, passed away on May 17th, 2025.
Born in Elmhurst and raised in Franklin Park, Kevin was the beloved son of Mariano and Irma Monarrez.
He was a good and excellent son – kind, loving, generous, compassionate, patient, and the best brother anyone could ask for to Bryant, Kenneth, and Kaiber.
He also leaves behind his cherished girlfriend of more than five years, Mallory Matos, as well as his dearest and closest friends, Alex Rios, Victor Herrera, and Catarino Herrera.
He loved and respected them all.

Kevin had a one-of-a-kind spirit that left a lasting mark on everyone he met.
A passionate Liverpool FC fan, he never missed a match and proudly celebrated every one of their championship victories.
His love for The Simpsons brought endless laughter to those around him, with perfectly timed references and quotes.
Whether cheering on his favorite wrestlers, reading books or comics, or playing card games, Kevin brought energy, humor, and heart into every moment.
He was a man who led with kindness and empathy, always going out of his way to lift others up.
Kevin had a rare gift for making people feel truly seen and valued.
A fierce believer in justice and fairness, he was a unifier—someone who could bring people together, no matter what their differences.
Even pets seemed to put aside their rivalries when Kevin was around.
Kevin loved to explore the world, whether traveling to new places, sampling new foods, or collecting souvenirs, he embraced each experience with enthusiasm—and always brought back something thoughtful for his loved ones.

A wake and memorial service will be held on Thursday from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home, 9568 Belmont Ave, Franklin Park, IL 60131.
Eulogy will be at 6PM.
The burial will take place the following morning, Friday at 10:00 AM.

Kevin will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
His absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but his warmth, humor, and generous heart will live on in the stories, memories, and lives he touched.
His family, friends, and all those lucky enough to have known him will forever carry his light forward.
