Kevin Moran Obituary

Kevin was born in Englewood, NJ to Joan (nee Finneran) and Thomas Moran and raised in Closter, NJ. After graduating from Lycoming College, Kevin began his long career in the steam ship industry before joining his brothers at DDI Capital. Outside of the office, Kevin spent decades as a basketball official.
A celebration of Kevin's life will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 4PM to 8PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont. Funeral Mass Saturday September 6, 2025, 10:00 AM at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 300 Elm Street, Oradell. Internment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Kevin's memory to The Michael J. Fox Foundation or the Alpine Learning Group Foundation.

I was saddened to hear of Kevin´s passing. I am a fellow basketball official who worked many, many games with Kevin and I was always glad to see his name next to mine on the game assignment schedule. He was a great partner and more importantly a good man. I know how much he loved his family. I hadn´t seen Kevin for sometime but I would always think about him when the basketball season started to come around. I want to offer my sincere condolences to his family and friends. I will say that having known Kevin, made me a better basketball official, a better friend and better person. Thank you Kevin. May he rest in peace. Terry Shoebridge

I remember the fun we all had in high school and at the reunions. Kevin had touched so many lives and will be missed. I offer prayers for Kevin and the family he left behind. Linda, I hope you can find peace in knowing that Kevin is now able to rest in peace.
