Kevin Murray Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Givnish Funeral Home - Cinnaminson on Jan. 27, 2026.
Kevin P. Murray, of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed away peacefully with his beloved wife, Annie, by his side. Born in Philadelphia to Julia Murray and the late Joseph Murray, he was 71 years old.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Julia Murray (nee Fisher), his wife, Ann Marks, his children, Megan Murray, Beth Corl (Bieu), and Thomas Murray (Heather), his grandchildren, Keara, Nicolas, McKenna, Cora, and Paige, his siblings, Joseph Murray (Joanne Hartigan), Julia Ivers (Jim), and Tim Murray (Alice), his niece and nephews, and the Marks Family.

Kevin was raised in Philadelphia, afflicted by a love of the usually disappointing Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers. Later in life, he also became an avid college basketball fan, sharing in the passion of his Kentucky-born wife, who is a lifelong UK fan.

Kevin put passion into every avenue he pursued and had an amazing work ethic. He was extremely proud of his 40-year career with M.A.B. Paints. He also learned the skill of wallpapering from his grandfather and used that skill to earn extra money to support his children, in whom he took immense pride.

Kevin loved, in a slightly obsessive way, his parrot fish. He devoted hours to the care of their tank, including natural lighting patterns and a camera system so he could see them during any vacation or hospital stay.

Kevin was a tenacious fighter his whole life. He was diagnosed with interstitial lung disease in 2020. Due to his many years of working out and swimming, he functioned without supportive oxygen until late 2023. Despite the clear effects of this affliction, he kept swimming. He was known to swim/walk laps with his oxygen sitting on the pool deck.

He, and his family, were blessed with the transplant of a young, healthy lung in September of 2024. This beautiful gift granted him two extra Christmases and countless more memories with his family.

Kevin will be dearly missed but there will be plenty of good stories and funny memories to put smiles on the faces of those who love him.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, February 1st, from 3:30 – 5 pm at Givnish of Cinnaminson, 1200 Route 130 North. His funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 2nd, 10:30 am at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, 2500 Branch Pike, Cinnaminson, NJ. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gift of Life Donor Program at https://www.donors1.org/give-to-gift-of-life/.

I am deeply sorry to hear of your loss. Kevin always kept us up to date on his condition. It was shocking to hear of his passing. He was a kind and gentle man. I knew Kevin at Archbishop Ryan highschool. After we graduated highschool we both ended up being on the same jury trial. We stopped at Reading Terminal and had lunch and went right back to wait to see if we would be chosen for the trial. Thank goodness we were disqualified. Kevin nor I wanted to be there. That was the last time I saw him until Facebook came along. I'm glad I got to know him. God bless him. My he live in eternal happiness with our Lord. Theresa Kuhl Albert. Class of 1972.

I remember playing football across the street with Kevin. I never could catch him, even with the funny way he ran. Sometimes I could just grab the bottom of his tee shirt, which would just rip off, but still not stop him. His mother was mad when he got home.

I´ve known Kevin since elementary school through high school and well beyond. He was always a great guy who always wore a smile. I am deeply saddened by his passing and my heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends.
