Regina F. "Zych" Murray

Regina F. (Zych) Murray, 86, of Newark, Delaware passed away to her final resting place with our Lord and Savior Jesus on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, she was the second daughter of Vincent and Madeline Zych.

Regina graduated from Newark High School in June, 1957 and worked for the DuPont Company, having retired after 32 years of dedicated service. She met and married the love of her life, Victor W. Murray, who passed away on February 1, 2014.

Following her retirement, Regina enjoyed cruises to several destinations, including Port Canaveral, St. Thomas, St. Martin, Puerto Rico, Bermuda and the Bahamas.

Regina is survived by her three children, Robin G. Howard (William), Gregory Murray (Kelley) and David W. Murray. She also leaves to cherish her memory four grandchildren, Amanda, Shannon, Christopher and Sean, as well as four great grandchildren, Lennox, Lilyanah, Teagen and Chase.

Regina is also survived by her sister, Patsy Laffery (Gary); her brothers, Jim Zych (Karen) and Dan Martin; and her brother-in-law, Richard Wilson.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Alice Staker, Bev Mocknis and Linda Wilson; her brothers, Bob and Bill Martin (Doris).

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Wednesday, March 18 from 9:30 – 11:00AM. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM, immediately followed by interment at Silverbrook Cemetery, Wilmington.
