Kevin James Reed passed away from cancer on July 4, 2024, at the hospital in Newcastle, Wyoming. He was born in Buffalo, Wyoming to James and Patricia reed. He is preceded in death by his father, James Reed and mother, Patricia Reed. Kevin graduated from Newcastle High School and worked for Weston County Road and Bridge right out of school. At one point, he went to Arkansas to helps his parents on their chicken farm, but then came back to Newcastle to be closer to family and friends. Kevin then worked at the coal mine before "semi-retiring" and working at Taco Johns. Kevin loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his family and friends. He is survived by his brother, Glen (Shelley) Reed of Newcastle, sister, Sandy Kohlbrand of Newcastle, brother, Craig (Rhonda) Reed of Newcastle, and brother, William Reed of LaBarge, Wyoming, nephews, Brett Reed, Casey Reed, Ross Reed, and nieces, Kristen Kohlbrand (Johnson), Jennifer Kohlbrand (Pederson), Jodean Reed (Brannan), Kaylynn Reed (Taper), and Jeanien Reed (Burrus). A celebration of life is planned for 11:00 a.m., July 27, 2024, at the Newcastle Senior Center, 627 Pine Street, Newcastle, Wyoming.
