Kevin Sims Obituary
Kevin passed away suddenly on Monday, March 20, 2023 at his home in Thornville. He was born in Zanesville on January 29, 1972 the son of the late Billy Ray Sims and Ona Belle (Maze) Sims who survives.
Kevin was a graduate of Sheridan High School, class of 1990, and was formerly employed with DHL as a warehouse supervisor. He also worked as a log buyer for several years. He enjoyed golf, gardening, listening to classic country music and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his father, Kevin was preceded in death by his son Allen in 2007, daughter Shelby in 2019 along with his granddaughter Madison; and his brother Kenny Sims in 2022.
In addition to his mother Ona Belle, he is survived by his siblings Annabelle (Paul) Currence, Becky (Chuck) Cavinee, Ray (Edna) Sims, Pat (Trish) Sims and Mike (Staci) Sims, sister-in-law Jill Sims; special friends Laura and Jordan; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and friends.
The family prefers that memorial contributions be directed to the funeral home (P.O. Box 267, Thornville, Ohio 43076) to assist with final expenses.
