Kevin Smith

Kevin Craig Smith, age 64, passed away at his home in Salt Lake City on February 10.

Kevin was born to Craig Harvey Smith and Linda Smith and grew up on a farm, where he learned the enduring values of hard work, responsibility, and devotion to family. In high school, he sang in choir and was a member of the clogging team, early expressions of his joyful spirit and love of community.

Kevin treasured time with his family, especially family vacations and gatherings with extended relatives. He had a special fondness for collecting Santa Claus figurines, a reflection of his warm heart, playful humor, and love for tradition.

He is survived by his children, Mary, Taylor, and Alexandra "Zani" (Erik) Nixon; his beloved grandchildren, Quincey, Leif, and Maple; his parents, Craig Harvey Smith and Linda Smith; and his siblings: Kristine Pence, Brian and Nichole Smith, Lori and Brian Bullock, Alison and Rhodes Wilkinson, and Doug and Autumn Smith.

Kevin will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, gentle strength, and the love he shared so freely with his family. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion, laughter, and cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him and those closest to him: Kelly, Jayne, Brady and Roy Edwards"

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 11:00 am in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove, Utah.
