Kevin Sockriter, son of Russel and Hilda Sockriter, was born on November 3, 1958, and spent most of his life growing up in and around Sussex County, Delaware. He departed his earthly life on October 13, 2023, at his residence in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.
During his working years, Kevin was employed as a carpenter and roofer. In his spare time, Kevin liked playing guitar, telling jokes, and enjoying his chihuahua puppies. He also loved talking on the phone with family and enjoyed discussing Jesus and the Bible.
In addition to his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by a sister, Melissa in 2023; a brother, Dirk in 2008, and a sister, Debbie in 2000.
Kevin is survived by his son Michael Sockriter (Heather) of Emmaus, PA; daughter, Kristi Parks (Gary Messick) of Seaford, DE; siblings Celeste Hastings (Jeff), Sylvia Wilkerson, and Myron Sockriter, all of Delaware; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his companion, Brenda Longenberger (and daughter Jennifer) of Bloomsburg, PA.
