Kevin G. Taylor, 63, of Brewster, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Country Lawn Nursing Home.
He was born in Massillon on January 8, 1962 to the late James and Mary Alice "Elsie" (Vittling) Taylor and graduated from Fairless High School. He retired from Shearer's Foods following 19 years of service.
To know Kevin was to love him, often instantly. With a sharp wit, an easy laugh, and a gift for making anyone feel like an old friend, he had a way of turning even the most ordinary moment into a story worth remembering. Kevin was the guy who'd give you the shirt off his back, crack a joke to break the tension, or sit with you in silence if that's what you needed. He was real. He was loyal. He was the kind of man people just felt better being around.
Some of his favorite days were the simple ones: a cold beer with old friends, a fishing pole in hand, a walk through the woods searching for morels, or a morning with his brother Phil, duck hunting. He had a soft spot for classic slapstick-especially The Three Stooges and a lifelong love affair with rock and roll. But anyone who truly knew him would smile and agree: the greatest love of his life was his "Genny."
Kevin gave so much of himself to others more than he probably ever realized. If there's one thing we all wish we could tell him now, it's this: you were so deeply loved. Not just by a few, but by many. And we hope, somehow, you know that now.
He is survived by a sister, Linda (Paul) Cook of Massillon; a brother, Philip (Deborah) Taylor of Brewster; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, James and Bryan Taylor.
Following his wish cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be announced in the near future.
