Kevin Van Beuge Obituary

Kevin Ray Van Beuge

1965 ~ 2025

- Our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Uncle, Kevin Van Beuge, 60, was unexpectedly taken from his family on December 27, 2025. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Christiaan and Betty Jean Van Beuge. Kevin married Glenda Williams in 1989 and he adopted her daughter, Kendra, they had two sons, Colton and Chandler. After divorcing Glenda he found his eternal companion, Lynette Moon, and married her in 1997. She previously had two children, a daughter, Andrea, and a son, Troy. Their family was not complete until daughters, Angela and Megan were born. Kevin loved his family dearly.

Kevin enjoyed working on vehicles, hunting, fishing and sports. He especially enjoyed his hobbies when he could share them with loved ones. He was always found with his hands dirty from projects he was working on with his kids, enjoying the mountains with family and cheering on his favorite sport teams, Utah Jazz, BYU and The Miami Dolphins. Because of Kevin's unique palate he could always be found with some new food concoction but he did enjoy some normal goodies as well. He enjoyed homemade chocolate chip cookies and could sniff them out from anywhere in the house. He loved his peaches especially when turning them into cobbler, shakes or drinks. He could be considered a rabbit from all the veggies he devoured but he also loved his meat.

Kevin accomplished many things in his life like building the log home he resided in. He worked as an electrician for all of his adult years, developing a skill that he used to help and teach others. He was very generous in using his talents and time to bring a positive impact to others lives. He was a father figure to many, filling a lot of empty gaps in children's lives. He always left situations in a better condition than he found them.

In his life, Kevin had the opportunity to discover where his family came from by visiting the Netherlands with his father. While there, he was able to meet a lot of his Dutch relatives making the trip even more special. He traveled a lot for work but also enjoyed vacations with his family. He visited Hawaii, California, and Florida. He also had the opportunity to work on the electrical in one of the temples in Washington DC. He also assisted in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house as a volunteer. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served many people in various callings. He served a mission in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Survived by his wife, 7 children, 9 grandchildren, multiple siblings, in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his father and mother, father-in-law and mother-in-law, nephew and niece.

Viewings will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. All services will be held at the Mirabella 6th Ward Chapel located at 13381 South 6000 West, Herriman, UT 84096. Interment will take place at Herriman City Cemetery.

Before retirement, I was a safety & leadership trainer for Wasatch Electric. Kevin was always fun to be around, quick witted, and a sharp electrician. May the Lord bless your family with your tragic loss.

Dear Lynette and family,
We are deeply saddened to hear of your loss. We met Kevin last August when he rented a site in our little RV Park. An all-around good and hard working man that was almost adored by the men he supervised and worked with.
We are keeping an eye on his work truck and 5th wheel trailer parked here. I suspect you will have family or his co-workers will bring you the trailer sometime in the future. There is no rush to do so.
With our sincere condolences,
Scott & Grace McCullough
