Kevin Lee Wiskus

Kevin Lee Wiskus, age 55, of New Boston, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025. He was born on May 17, 1970, in Champaign, Illinois, to John Andrew and Patricia Ann Wiskus.

Kevin was an Auto Technician for 25 years and was also a Custodial Maintenance worker for Community Services of Northeast Texas, Head Start of New Boston, Texas.

In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and watching fishing shows. He was an avid bass fisherman. Most importantly, he loved to spend time with his family, friends, and his beloved dog Sandi.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Marvin Scherbring; his father-in-law, Larry MCclaran.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife and soulmate of twenty-one years, Christy Wiskus of New Boston, Texas; their son, Aydan Wiskus and his girlfriend Kaylee Hutto; his son, Jacob Wiskus and wife Lindsi Chadwick; his niece, who he cherished as a daughter, Melissa Montgomery, husband Trever, and his two daughters; his grandchildren, Dawson and Carson Ward; another grandson, Alexander Wiskus; his father, John Wiskus and wife Bonnie; his mother-in-law, Bridget MCclaran; his brothers, John Ray Wiskus, Tim Allen Wiskus; his sister, Rhonda Wiskus-Richards; his seven nieces and two nephews; his three great-nieces and one great-nephew; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are being made under the direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home – New Boston, Texas.
