James Clayton 'Pops' Beasley, age 83 of Texarkana, Texas passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2025 in a local hospice facility. Mr. Beasley was born May 28, 1942 in Douglassville, Texas to Joseph and Lottie Beasley. He was retired as a Mechanic with Red River Army Depot, member of Rock Creek Baptist Church, the Northwestern Arkansas Hall of Fame for Softball and is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lottie Beasley, two spouses, Doris Gayle Coleman, Linda Kay Beasley, three sons, James Lloyd Beasley, Bobby Jack Beasley, Stacey Lee Beasley and two siblings, Ollie Mae White and Elizabeth McBride.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carolyn Ann Beasley, daughter and son in law, Lesley and Roy Barker, son and daughter in law, Mike and Phyllis Cheatham, daughter in law and son in law, Marie and Marvin Lynn, two sisters, Ann Taylor, Johnnie Evans, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 18, 2025 in the Bates Rolf Chapel, New Boston, Texas with Bro. Steve Minter officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time at 11:00 A.M.

Interment will follow in the Douglassville Cemetery, Douglassville, Texas under the direction of Bates Rolf Funeral Home, New Boston, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Texarkana, 2407 Galleria Oaks, Texarkana, Texas 75503

So sorry for your loss. My mother was a Beasley daughter of J. L. and Carrie Beasley. He is a cousin of mine. Did not know him well but knew his mom and dad well. God give you peace as you deal with his loss.
