Robert James "Bobby" Sleeter

Robert James (Bobby) Sleeter, born May 13, 1957, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 22, 2025. He fought cancer for as long as he could and was at home with family the morning he left us. Bob grew up and graduated from school in Redwater, Texas. Bobby spent most of his adult life in the convenience store management business which included opening new stores throughout the Mid-West. He spent many years in Wichita, Kansas and Tulsa Oklahoma. The past years you could catch him cruising down the highway in his beloved Thunderbird. Bob considered his nieces and nephews his own children and his Grand-nephew Jaxon, was the apple of his eye. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lorraine Farland. Brothers Kenneth Jeffery (Kenny) Sleeter, and Thomas William (Tommy) Sleeter. He is survived by brother Kelly Farland and wife Michelle, who he had become very close to as his friend. Sister Vicki Pollard and husband Floyd, many nieces and nephews, and two very close friends whom he treasured dearly, of over 35 years Pam Eunice and Larry Dole. Bob was loved by many and will be missed by all. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held October 18, 2025, at 11am. The service will be at the home of Kelly and Michelle Farland at 19 County Road 1108, Maud, Texas. Lunch will be served following the service.
