Kevin John Wright, who was born on August 20, 1958, in Three Rivers, Michigan, passed away on January 24, 2026, in Marcellus, Michigan. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, faith, and devotion to family.
Kevin dedicated his life to various professions, showcasing his determination and resilience. He worked as a semi-truck driver, a cab driver in Missouri, and spent time working in a factory where he specialized in finishing screws in Indiana. His unwavering work ethic was a testament to his character until health challenges prevented him from continuing his employment.
He was a proud Army veteran, having served his country honorably. His military service is part of the rich tapestry of his life, underscoring his commitment to those he loved and his dedication to his nation.
Kevin was a man of faith and an active member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur. He previously attended Calvin Community Church in Cassopolis, where he and his brothers were raised in a nurturing environment steeped in community and spirituality.
In addition to his work and faith, Kevin cherished the great outdoors. He found joy in fishing and hunting, delights that connected him with nature and brought him peace.
He is survived by his two brothers, Gale Lee (Sandy) Wright and Carl Otto (Elizabeth) Wright; his step-son, Billy McCauley; his step-daughter, Theresa McCauley; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will remember him fondly.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Otto Wright and Martha Emily (Ampey) Wright; his wife, Debbie Wright; and his brother, Michael Wright.
His spirit and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be dearly missed but fondly remembered for his kind heart and unwavering devotion to family and faith. There will be a graveside service scheduled in the Spring at Rose Hill Cemetery, with his brother Carl Wright officiating.
