Khai Quang Tr?n left this life peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2022. Khai was born in Saigon on May 10, 1956, to parents Muoi Tr?n (mother) and Sau Tr?n (father). His parents sent Khai out of Vietnam in 1978 at the age of 23.
He spent a year in Malaysia in a refugee camp, Pulau Bidong. At that time, he was placed in a US VISA LOTTERY with three States in which he had sponsor family members. At the age of 24 he chose Milwaukee Wisconsin, where Khai began to build the foundation for what would eventually become an industrious and fulfilling life.
Khai met the love of life, Sandra Elaine Harris, in the early part of 1980, eventually marrying on February 2, 1982. With his diligent work ethic and assiduous fortitude, Khai was able to purchase their home in the spring of 2000.
Khai and Sandra were blessed with two beautiful children, a daughter Mailien, who was born on January 13, 1983, and a son Khai Lien Chadwick Lang Tr?n, on October 13, 1993. Khai was above all else, a dutiful, loving, and thoughtful spouse and father. An accomplished chef, Khai gained his culinary expertise while working at several Milwaukee restaurants, including Harvey Moy, Wong's Wok (main office), Aunt Joy (35th & Villard), William Ho (Harvey's Uncle), Emperors Kitchen, and Asia. His sumptuous dishes were the source of many family gatherings, enjoyed by everyone in attendance. Khai, always industrious and enterprising, and hardworking, further supported his family by working as a bus driver for First Student Bus Company; 14 years part-time and for six years full-time.
Khai instilled a strong sense of Vietnamese culture in his children, making certain that those traditions and values would be passed on to them. His love for music was an integral part of his life and along with his talented wife Sandra, ensured that both Mailien and Khailien were proficient and highly skilled in the mastery of the guitar. Khai was also a motor mechanic and passed his knowledge and passion for automobiles on to his children as well.
Khai was proceeded in death by his parents, Muoi Tr?n and Sau Tr?n, Ramona and Talmadge Harris Sr (mother and father-in-law), and most tragically, his son Khailien Chadwick Lang Tr?n, closely followed by the loss of his beloved wife, Sandra Elaine Tran.
Khai is survived by his devastated daughter Mailien Tr?n, Tr?n Thi Nhu Mai (sister), Võ Thi Thanh Thào (niece). Sister-in-Law's: Barbara (Lloyd) O'Neal, Oretha Harris (Michael Kaiser), Carol (Brian) Mascari. Brothers-in-Law's: Võ Thi Thào Linh, Tal Harris Jr. and Kenneth (Jennie) Harris. Nieces and Nephews: Courtney Haeflinger, Tiffany Haeflinger, Tyler Mascari, Casandra O'Neal, Cameron O'Neal, Lauren Mascari, Chad Mascari. Brenda Williams (Great Aunt). Further survived by a host of relatives and friends.
Khai's passing has left a gaping hole in the hearts of his entire family and in the lives of his numerous friends.
His memory will be a cherished Blessing to everyone who knew and loved him.
