Khan Van Le, age 68 of Gulf Shores, Alabama, passed away on June 9, 2025, from natural progression of an illness surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in An Bang, Vietnam, the son of belated Dat Le and Tan Nguyen. He was devoted and married to Kieu Thi Le Truong in Vietnam for nearly 50 years.
Although Khan was the village "stud", he fell in love with Kieu from the moment he first laid eyes on her and has held only this woman in his heart ever since.
He was a paternal figure to 5 children and 6 grandchildren. Khan was mentally strong, a natural born leader and displayed astounding self-discipline. He was profoundly faithful through the trials and tribulations of his life. He paved the way for his immediate and extended family to emigrate to the United States in pursuance of a better life.
He was a pioneer in the shrimping industry and an avid fisherman. Even while working, he would drive three hours twice a week to fish at the Gulf Shores Pier. This brought him much happiness prior to his shortened retirement. He was an honest, hard-working. unpretentious and simple man who sacrificed extensively to raise his children to succeed yet stay humble, uphold high moral standards, and aspire to live a meaningful life.
Remaining to cherish Khan's memory are: Wife: Kieu Thi Le Truong Children: Kim Le, Stuart Le, Father John Paul (Tarry) Le, Huong Brandt. Grandchildren: Iden Le, Audrey Brandt, Liam Boyer, Jacob Brandt, Lania Boyer, Uriel Le. Siblings: Phan Le, Cau Le, Chau Le, Minh Le, Hieu Le, Hao Le, Thao Le. Preceding Khan in death are son Tony Le and parents Dat Le and Tan Nguyen.
Prayers from 4:30pm - 5:30pm and from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm visitation at Unger Funeral Chapel, 190 Railroad Avenue in Mt. Angel, Oregon.
