It is with heavy hearts that we announce Khin Maung Kyaw's sudden passing at age 52 years old at his home on January 27, 2025. Khin was a beloved husband, father, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone who met him.

Khin was born on April 10, 1972, in Shwe Goon Village in Hpa-An, Burma. He was the eldest of three children born to U Tin Win and Daw Nyunt Nyunt Win. In the 1988 pro-democracy uprising, he actively participated in Hpa-An before joining the Student Army Battalion 207, where he dedicated himself to the resistance movement.

In 1999, he immigrated to the United States and settled in Albany, New York, where he later met his wife in 2008. Khin cherished being a husband and a father. Khin worked as a mechanic at Integrated Liner Technologies for the past 25 years. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at home.

Khin is survived by his loving wife, Mu Mu San, who was his partner in all things, and cherished sons, Peter and Kaprie Kyaw Caswell, who was the pride and joy of his life. Khin was a devoted father, always encouraging Peter to do his best and instilling in him the values of education, hard work, and integrity. Khin is also survived by his brother, Zawoo and sister, Winpapa.

Visitation will be held at the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 9:00-10:00 am, followed by a memorial service at 10:00-10:30 am. Graveside burial will take place at 10:45 am at the Blooming Grove Rural Cemetery.

Khin's legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and he will be remembered for his love, laughter, and unwavering support. Rest in peace, dear Khin. You will be forever missed.
