Kiersten Kay Bushman, a radiant beacon of compassion, love, and resilience, embarked on her eternal journey on August 12, 2023. Born in Pasadena, CA, on August 26, 1975, to Gunnar Knudsen and the late Marilyn Knudsen, Kiersten's life was a testament to tenacity and commitment to serving others. Her life echoed the sentiment of Mahatma Gandhi, "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."
Kiersten dedicated her life to the noble cause of social work, serving at the Division of Child and Family Services in the State of Utah. Her tireless efforts and dedication transformed countless lives in her community, reflecting her inherent kindness and unwavering commitment to uplift those in need.
Kiersten married the love of her life, Jared Stevens, on June 10, 2023, in the South Jordan Temple; their union was a beautiful testament to love, companionship, and mutual respect.
Her love for her Father in Heaven made it easy for her to serve those around her. She loved helping others, just to see the smiles on their faces. She especially enjoyed sharing her testimony through her love and gift of music.
Kiersten's memory will be cherished by her husband, Jared Stevens; her father, Gunnar and stepmother, Farah Knudsen; siblings, Janna (Joshua) Vincent, Richard (Ashley) Knudsen, Renee (Derek) Shirts, and Scott (Yulia) Knudsen; stepsisters, Victoria Hill, Bryony (Sebastian) Dick, her children, Marianne (Quinten) Mace, Evelyn Bushman, Jacob Bushman, Kimberly Bushman, and Natalie Bushman; her stepchildren, Savannah (Sam) Goulson, Samantha (Taylor) Miskin, and Kyla Stevens. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Knudsen, and her sister, Tiffany Knudsen.
As Maya Angelou beautifully articulated, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Kiersten's warmth, compassion, and kindness will continue to resonate within the hearts of everyone she touched.

A celebration of Kiersten's life will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 10 am at the Elk Ridge 5th Ward 450 Elk Ridge Dr. Elk Ridge, UT. A viewing will be held on Friday at the church from 6-8 pm and on Saturday from 9-9:40 am.
