Kim A. Baker

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kim Baker at the age of 66 on June 14th, 2023 in Bakersfield, CA. Kim was born on February 1st, 1957 in Albuquerque, NM. He proudly served in the US Navy for about ten years as a BT2 before embarking on a 30-year career as a power plant operator.

Kim was a devoted family man, beloved son, brother, and husband, and a dedicated father. He was a man of great integrity, always putting the needs of his loved ones before his own. Kim was also an avid traveler, having seen much of the world during his time in the Navy.

In his free time, Kim enjoyed the great outdoors, taking pleasure in camping, hiking, fishing, and shooting. He was also skilled at fixing cars and computers, always lending a helping hand to those in need.

Kim is survived by his loving wife and adult children. A service will be held in his honor on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023 at 10 AM at Monarch Memorial, located at 2801 F St. in Bakersfield, CA. Kim will be deeply missed by all those who knew him, and his memory will be cherished forever. Fair wind and following seas.
