Obituary
Guest Book
Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Kim Cahill Bourque, went to be with Jesus Christ in her eternal home on November 20, 2023 at the age of 66. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 29, 1957 and resided in Denham Springs. Her love of children was evident as a passionate and devoted preschool teacher and former paraprofessional at Gray’s Creek Elementary School, and later graduated cum laude from Southeastern Louisiana University and pursued her teaching certification. Her life was made full by spending time with family, caring for those she loved, and tending to her abundant flowers and plants in her backyard garden oasis.
She is survived and missed deeply by three daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle Andrews Stewart and Bubba, Leanne Andrews Gayle and Rhett, and Rebecca Anne Andrews; Grandchildren Brooke Stewart Carpenter (Josh), Bailey and Brant Stewart, Brendan, Brock and Brayden Sharp, Laney and Luke Gayle, Alivia Andrews, and two great-grandchildren Haidyn and Hayes Carpenter. She is survived by four siblings Charles Cahill and wife Pam, Gerard Cahill, Kathleen Guidry and husband Jay, and Benjamin Cahill and wife Amie, and life-long best friend, Theresa Ball, along with countless aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews that she loved very much. She is now reunited with her loved ones in Heaven who preceded her in death: husband, Wilton Victor Bourque, Jr., her beloved daughter Christine Alaine Andrews, and both parents, Augustine Gerard and Alma Anderson Cahill.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Gray’s Creek Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 11 and a Celebration of Life service at 1:00 .
