Dorothy is survived by daughters, Dewana Parker, and husband JR, Debbie Latil, and Donna Havard, and husband Kenny; son, Bodie McLin, and wife Bella, and Troy McLin; sisters, Geraldine Soileau, Lois Hano, and Edner Carlton; grandchildren, Brandi, Andy, Joseph, Hunter, Trenton, Mattie, Savannah, Darren, Devin, Whitney, Kendra, Kenny Jr, Jordyn, Jessica, Courtney, Lil Troy, and Brittany; step-granddaughters, Stephanie and Kristin; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Brenden, Tristan, Eli, Olivia, Cambree, Charlie, Symphany, Brian, Axle, Remmi, Kenny #3, McKensley (MJ), Ainsleigh, Stella Kate, Brantley, and Leland; and Step Great-Grandchildren, Brelynn, Brylee, and Brantley.
Dorothy is preceded in death by husband, Joseph McLin; daughter, Lillian McLin (Bigume); parents, Walter and Viola Bankston; brothers, Gordon Bankston, Roy Bankston, and Richard Bankston; sister, Corine McLin; grandchildren, Ashley Latil, Taylor McLin, and Michael Parker; and great-grandchildren, Aiden Latil and Kylee Reagan.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Sukie, Vickie, Peb, and LuLu for their unwavering love and support. "We couldn't do life without y'all."
Dorothy's spirited love and unwavering support will be sorely missed, but her influence will forever echo in the hearts of her family and friends. In this time of sorrow, we take comfort in the beautiful memories shared and the legacy of kindness she imparted to us all. Her light will continue to shine brightly in our lives.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 11:00 AM until services begin at 2:00 PM at New Life Tabernacle Church, 12012 Florida Blvd, Walker, LA 70785. Burial will follow in the McLin Cemetery. Keith Payne will officiate services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to McLin Funeral Home. Online condolences may be shared at www.mclinfuneralhome.com
