Kim Marie Green was born on September 30, 1967, in Hackensack NJ to the proud parents of Robert and Lula Mae Green. She was affectionately known as "Lil" Shrimp to family members and friends.
The family relocated to Passaic, NJ in 1970. The following year her brother Thomas Green was born.
Upon graduating from High School in 1985, she attended Ramapo College. It wasn't too long after, Kim had to put education goals on hold due to her mother's illness. Kim made a promise to her before her passing that she would finish her degree. That promise was kept although her father passed before this accomplishment. She became a graduate of Montclair State University.
During her studies she worked full-time in finance. Later in her career she worked in Facilities Property Management. Upon her untimely death, she worked for JLL at the M&M Mars Campus in Newark NJ.
Anybody that knows Kim knows that she was a Michael Jackson fan. Back in 1988 during the Bad Tour, Kim and a few of her friends camped out for tickets. It became a yearly tradition for her to attend his Cirque Soleil show in Las Vegas. Up until recently, Las Vegas was her go to spot. Anytime she got a text or call asking, "When's the next time you're heading to Vegas?" her response was "Already there!" and depending on the time of day, "Sipping Orange mimosa or a glass of Uncle Nearest and Coke!"
Visiting California became her de facto second home; Los Angeles to be exact. Being a fan of all things L.A., she showed her love for the Showtime Lakers, which she enjoyed watching games with her father growing up. Along with being involved with local politics, she helped campaign for the newly elected District Attorney of L.A. County. She really enjoyed helping people and found the place she wanted to pursue it at. This was the start of the third act of her career.
Kim departed this life on December 19, 2024, in Hackensack NJ.
She was preceded in death by her father Robert Green in 1996 and her mother Lula Mae Green in 1991.
Our sister, cousin, niece, and cherish friend leaves behind family in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Ohio, Illinois, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida.

My heart is so heavy writing this, as I cannot believe that you are no longer with us. I am so glad that we had so many fun Saturdays having dinners and drinks, which I will truly miss. I miss your texts about work, politics and or about Diddy. LOL. You were such a beautiful and kind person. You are gone too soon and I truly miss you. I know you are with your parents so rest in peace my dear friend. XO
