Kim L. Kalkbrenner, age 62 of Litchfield, MN died on May 21, 2025 at her home in Litchfield, MN. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday May 27, 2025 at the Cornerstone Church in Litchfield, MN. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Kim Louise Kalkbrenner, the daughter of Gordon and Betty (Carlson) Gronli was born on November 25, 1962 in Paynesville, MN. She graduated from Atwater High School in 1981 and also graduated from Beauty School Vo-tech in Willmar, MN. Kim was united in marriage to Randy Kalkbrenner on June 18, 1989 at the First Baptist Church in Litchfield, MN. As a beautician, Kim owned and operated Divine Designs Beauty Shop in Litchfield for many years. She then became the Campus Life Director with Crow River area Youth for Christ. Following, she was a long time paraeducator in Litchfield, spending her days working with teachers and students. She also drove school bus for both the Litchfield and Atwater Grove City school districts. Kim had a strong faith and relationship with Jesus. She was previously a member of the First Baptist Church and Cornerstone Church of Litchfield; and a current member of Blessings Church, where she recently became an ordained pastor. Kim enjoyed gardening, birds, being outside, going to family camp and taking vacations to Mexico. She was the best grandma and loved spending time with her family.
Kim is survived by her husband Randy of Litchfield, MN; children Kyle (Janice) of Grove City, MN, Kaleb (Andrea) of Litchfield, MN, Kody (Brylee) of Litchfield, MN, Jake (Emily) of Litchfield, MN and Rori Jones of Wahpeton, ND; grandchildren Isaac, Silas, Gordon, Kinsley, Ryker, Parker and Harlee; brothers Jeff (Kelly) of Sturtevant, WI and Lane of Fargo, ND; and step-mom LaVonne Gronli of Spicer, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Betty.
