Kim Shiflett Obituary
Kim Watson Shiflett, 54, of Keswick, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at her residence.
She was born on March 18, 1956, in Charlottesville, the daughter of the late William Beverly Watson. Also preceeding her in death were her brother-in- law, Ray Rushton III; and nephew, Ray Rushton IV.
Kim graduated from Lane High School in 1974. She was a loving wife and mother who valued her family.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Robert "Bobby" Shiflett; her mother, Annie Lois Bibb Watson; her daughter, Kerri Shiflett of Durham, North Carolina; two sisters, Jean Schaeffer of Salt Lake City, Utah, Virginia Rushton and her husband, Mike, Childress, of Charlottesville; and a brother, Robert W. Watson and his wife, Carolyn; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2010, at Belmont Baptist Church with Chaplain David Cole officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Charlottesville SPCA, P.O. Box 7047, Charlottesville, VA 22906 or to Legacy Hospice, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 180, Charlottesville, VA 22911, or to the fire department or rescue squad of your choice.
