Kim Stemen Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Day Funeral Service - Gahanna on Dec. 9, 2025.
Kim R. Stemen, age 66 of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away on December 1, 2025, at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Kim's journey home to eternity with his heavenly father came to its conclusion with his family by his side. Kim was born on March 4, 1959, in Lancaster, Ohio, to Jackie Stemen. Kim was a member of New Lexington High School class of 1977.

Kim was a loving husband, father, papaw and brother. He was the rock and biggest supporter of his family in every way. He was funny, kind, easy to be around. A lifelong Cincinnati Reds fan. The one to ask any question to, (my car is making this noise) he would know the answer... or he would find it!

His daughter said it so well, "there is no perfect way to honor someone who meant so much to his family and friends. All we can do is hold onto the memories, the jokes, the rides, the pictures, the help, the understanding, the one we called when we needed help. He showed up without being asked. He filled spaces we didn't even know were empty. We already miss him more than we can explain".

Kim is survived by his wife of 26 Years, Jodi; daughters, Brittany Hollingsworth, Bethany Hollingsworth and Brianna Hollingsworth; his grandchildren, Devika DeLong, Loki DeLong, Larkin DeLong, Abbey Lecrone, Brody Lecrone, Chloe Lecrone, Skylar Cook, Maddox Cook, Bellamy Cook; his siblings, Angie (Steve) Howell, Mark Stemen; and his" baby sister", Lisa (Dave) Yarbrough; many nieces and nephews and cousins and so many friends; his best friend and "partner in crime", Darwin Howdyshell and his wife Laura.

He was preceded in death by his mother; his grandparents, Oren and Mary Stemen, and many cousins.

Caring cremation has been arranged by Day Funeral Service. No formal service will be observed. His family will conduct a private burial at a later date.

Friends may make donations to The American Cancer Society in Kim's name.
