In Loving Memory of

Kim Marie Valdez

February 6, 1960 – October 4, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and great love that the family of Kim Marie Valdez announces her passing. Kim was born on February 6, 1960, in Denver, Colorado, and went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2025.

Kim was a woman of kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith. She had a remarkable sense of humor that brought joy to everyone around her. She loved her family deeply—especially her grandchildren—and found joy in cooking, creating, and spending time in nature. Her life was a reflection of the Proverbs 31 woman: devoted, gracious, and steadfast in her love for God and others.

Kim is survived by her loving husband, Efren Valdez Jr.; her daughters, Inez Blackmon and Melissa Valdez-Joseph; and her cherished grandchildren, Darius Spice, Ziva Joseph, Anika Joseph, Indigo Joseph, and Lincoln Blackmon. She is also survived by her sister, Charlotte Martinez, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 12:00 PM (noon) at:

Ignite Church International

801 S. 5th Avenue

Brighton, Colorado 80601

A meal and fellowship will follow the service.

“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

— Psalm 73:26
