To my dear cousin, Kim, I will always miss you. My mother and Kim´s dad were brother and sister. Kim came to live with us when I was around 8 or 9 for a year. He stayed connected with us all thru the years and came to about everyone of my families´ deaths. He was the best supporter of things in my families lives. I could never be the support system to him like he was to me. His shoes were some big ones to fill! I love you Kim and may you rest in peace!

I met Kim in 1966 my freshman year of college at Northern Michigan University. He and Don Cohagen were my roommates. Kim was a sophomore but never treated me as an underclassman and gave me lots of good advice. One Saturday evening several of us visited an abandoned sawmill, drank some liquor and took turns putting on skits and had a blast before going to a dance; just one of many of our adventures. My brother Terry ended up marrying his sister Karen and our families are forever intertwined. May God bless him and comfort Kevin, Nancy, Richard and all the Wilson family.

I remember when I first met Kim. I was around the age of 16 and my mother received a phone call from Kim. He was in the Washington DC area looking at possible teaching jobs. He asked my mother whether or not she used to be Jean Wilson, and when she said, yes, he told her "I think you´re my Aunt Jean." Shortly afterwards, he came by our house for a visit. The minute I met him, he was the brother I never had. Throughout the years Kim has played a significant role in my life; way past being a cousin. He has advised me, consoled me and, at times admonished me...always with truth and wisdom. Kim was instrumental in introducing me to a part of my family I might never have gotten to know. He loved bringing people together. He was the true meaning of the phrase "Better to be interested, than interesting." One of my favorite things to do was to call Kim as I was setting out on a long drive and we would talk and talk about everything and nothing...him keeping me company sometimes for the duration of the trip. I will miss him terribly.

I can't believe my longtime friend is gone. We had so many memories together - Kim "speed walking" thru every art fair we went to, Kim always outside on the lanai smoking no matter how many times I got on his case about it, the wonderful meals he prepared for John and I to share with him and Nancy, his focused interest in me and not him, our long phone conversations after I left Phoenix, my one attempt at camping.
I have known Kim for 45 years and it's hard to imagine life without him.
Rest in peace my friend.
