Kim Crain passed away in her home in Barberton, Ohio on October 7, 2025, at the age of 64.
Born in Akron, Ohio on July 3, 1961, Kim brought joy, laughter, and a creative spirit into the world from the very beginning. She worked for many years in the insurance industry, including roles at Medical Mutual and Prudential, and later channeled her passion for crafting into a role she truly loved- as a sales representative for Stampin' Up. Whether through her work or hobbies, Kim always found a way to connect with others and bring creativity and care into their lives.
Kim was known for her deep love of animals, especially her many beloved pets over the years- Doc, Icky, Rudy, Trudy, Autumn, Rufus, Tanner, Ashlee and Flory- and is now joyfully reunited with them. She leaves behind two cherished companions, Ruby and Lil Bit, who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mark Crain; her daughter, Chloe Ann Crain; her parents, Chuck and Jan Barnes; and her sister, Dione Klein. Kim's memory lives on through her nieces Alexis Klein and Emily Crain; nephews Ian (Megan) Klein, Travis Crain and Bobby Householder; as well as many cousins, friends, and her circle of "girlfriends" who brought her so much joy. She especially loved shopping, spending time with loved ones, and supporting her niece's classroom- always finding small, thoughtful ways to make a difference.
Kim will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her generous heart, and the love she showed to both people and pets. She will be remembered for her creative spirit, her strong will, and her unapologetic way of living life entirely on her own terms.
