Kimberley Ann Dalton, age 59, of
Miami, Texas, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, with her loving husband by her side. She fought cancer for 10 years beating the odds even when doctors gave her no hope – she declared her God was bigger and in control! She was born on May 13, 1966, in
Kansas City, Missouri, to Craig Franklin and Peggy Smith.
She graduated from Westminster High School in Westminster, Colorado, with the Class of 1984. On September 22, 1989, she married the love of her life, Curtis Dalton, in Georgia, beginning a devoted and steadfast marriage that lasted more than three decades.
Kimberley worked as a waitress, known for her welcoming demeanor. She later became an administrative assistant for Todd Alvey for eight years where he was key in training her in paralegal knowledge, then when they moved to Colorado Springs, Kim was able to work as a paralegal while earning her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Regis University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. After returning to Pampa, she worked for National Oilwell Varco, then as an Inventory Supervisor at Bourland & Leverich (later B & L Pipeco), where she retired, her leadership skills and strong personality, earning her the affectionate title 'The Boss' among family.
Kimberley found joy in the simple, peaceful moments of life. She loved working out, reading books, and sitting on the front porch of her quiet country home-soaking in the serenity that brought her comfort. She was organized, driven, and strong willed; you didn't tell her what to do, she was the sergeant. Yet she carried that strength with a cheerful, quiet personality and a beautiful smile that softened every room she entered and her beloved companion, "the boss" coffee cup, a gift from her grandchildren, was never far from her side and brought her endless joy.
She also had a remarkable talent for training police dogs, especially the intelligent and loyal Belgian Malinois Shepherd. Her patience, discipline, and natural connection with animals made her exceptional in this work, earning her the title of Overall Obedience last year.
She adored her family deeply. Kimberley loved her grandchildren with all her heart, and one of her greatest blessings was getting to hold her great grandbaby before she left this world.
Kimberley was a good and loving wife, a steady presence, and a woman who lived with purpose, grit, and grace.
Kimberley was preceded in death by her father, Craig Franklin.
Her memories will be cherished by her husband, Curtis Dalton of Miami; her mother, Peggy Smith and husband Cal of Pampa; her son, C.J. Dalton; and her daughters, Mandy Persick and husband David of Grosse Tete, Louisiana, and Kandice Herr and husband Josh of Midland-Odessa. She is also survived by her sisters, Christina Matlock of Pampa and Karla Bryant and husband Michael of Columbia, Missouri.
Her grandchildren-Parker Kempf and wife Dominique, Wyatt Ailport, Karys Herr, Benjamin Persick, Henry Persick, and Joshua Persick and great-granddaughter, Anastasia Kempf-were the light of her life, each holding a special place in her heart.
Kimberley will be laid to rest in the Dalton Family Cemetery with a private family Celebration of Life service to follow. The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.
Kimberley was a good and loving wife, a steady presence, and a woman who lived with purpose, grit, and grace. Her legacy of strength, devotion, and quiet beauty will live on in all who loved her.
