Kimberly Ann (Dayton) Abbott, 62, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 31st, 2025, at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo, Ohio, following a courageous battle with stage IV breast cancer. She was surrounded by love and faced her illness with strength, grace, and unwavering dignity.
Born on February 8th, 1963, in Toledo, Ohio, Kimberly was the daughter of David and Beverly (Mittendorf) Dayton. She earned her Bachelor's and Master's degree from Bowling Green State University and devoted 40 years to education, answering what she believed was her true calling. She was deeply proud of her work and was known for always putting children first. Her compassion, advocacy, and belief in her students touched countless lives and left a lasting impact on generations of families.
Outside of her career, Kimberly found joy in tending her vegetable garden, cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes, and enjoyed life's simple pleasures. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her two children, Katelyn and Nicholas, who were the center of her world and the greatest joy of her life. She brought her trademark humor, easygoing kindness, and gentle love to every space she entered.
