Kim graduated as valedictorian from Rogers High School in 1985. After high school she played basketball at Missouri Southern State University for one year before transferring to the University of Arkansas where she graduated in 1990 with a BSBA in Administrative Management. In 1987 she started her career at Wal-Mart where she worked until her passing.
For an astounding 37 years, Kim poured her heart and soul into her work at Walmart. She epitomized the values of loyalty, perseverance, and dedication. Her tireless efforts and unwavering commitment made her an invaluable asset to the company. Kim's infectious enthusiasm and genuine care for others made her not just a respected colleague, but also a cherished friend. Her steadfast work ethic and determination serve as an enduring inspiration for us all.
Sports were a passion that burned brightly within Kim's heart. She was an avid supporter of the Arkansas Razorbacks, Kansas City Chiefs, and St. Louis Cardinals, demonstrating an intense loyalty to her teams. Whether it was donning the team colors, cheering from the stands, or engaging in spirited discussions with fellow fans, Kim's love for sports was contagious. Her enthusiasm for the games served as a reminder of the joy and camaraderie that sports bring to our lives.
Kim's love for sports extended beyond the realm of fandom. She embraced the spirit of tailgating at Razorback football games, creating lasting memories with family and friends. The laughter, the delicious aromas wafting from the grill, and the spirited conversations brought her immense joy. Kim's infectious spirit and warm hospitality made those tailgating gatherings truly special occasions, etching themselves into the hearts of all who shared in those moments.
Kim's dedication to nurturing young athletes went beyond her own family. She selflessly coached numerous youth sports teams, passing on her knowledge, skills, and values to the next generation. Through her guidance, she instilled the importance of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship, leaving a lasting mark on the lives of the young athletes she mentored. All of Kim's hard work and dedication would come to be recognized in 2022 when she would be inducted into the prestigious Rogers High School Athletic Hall of Fame for her exceptional achievements in basketball, volleyball and track. Kim was a 3-year varsity letterman in basketball, volleyball and track. She was selected All-Conference twice in basketball and once in volleyball and selected All-State in basketball her senior year. Kim was a member of three cross country state championship teams. She is listed in the top ten of numerous basketball and track records at Rogers High School. Her legacy as an athlete, and coach will forever resonate within the hearts and minds of those she inspired.
Beyond her love for sports, Kim had a deep appreciation for the beach. The sound of crashing waves and the feel of sand between her toes brought her a sense of tranquility and solace. She found peace and rejuvenation in the beauty of nature, often taking long walks along the shoreline or reading a good book. The beach was her sanctuary, a place where she could escape the pressures of everyday life and embrace the simple pleasures that the world had to offer.
Grilling was one of Kim's passions, a skill she mastered with precision and flair. Whether it was a summer cookout or a casual get-together, she delighted in preparing mouthwatering dishes that brought people together. Through her culinary talents, she nurtured not only the stomachs but also the souls of those lucky enough to taste her creations. The memories of those delicious meals will forever be cherished by all who experienced Kim's culinary prowess.
Family held a special place in Kim's heart. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and her presence brought immeasurable joy to those around her. As a loving companion, devoted mother, faithful sister, and wonderful daughter, she created a strong and nurturing foundation for her loved ones. Kim's unwavering support, encouragement, and boundless love served as a guiding light for her family, giving them strength in times of need and celebrating their victories with unbridled joy. The profound impact she had on her family's lives will forever be cherished and held close to their hearts.
