Kimberly Briggs

Kimberly Briggs was born on May 16, 1979, to Glenda Jean Wood Briggs and the late Joseph Michael Briggs, in Spartanburg, SC. She was a 1997 graduate of Boiling Springs High School. Kimberly loved music and rap was her favorite genre. She was a licensed cosmetologist, and her favorite colors were pink and blue.
Kimberly attended Foster's Grove Baptist Church. Her favorite pastime was traveling with her parents. She was indeed the apple of her parent's eyes. Kimberly was her father's caretaker prior to his transition.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Briggs; grandmothers, Plessie Wood, and Beatrice Cruze Montogomery; and uncle, Mack Wood.
Kimberly leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to her faithful, and dutiful mother; brother, John "John John" Wood of Duncan, SC; sister, Pam Wood of Pensacola, FL; aunts, Gladys Jeter, and Dorothy Jeter both of Spartanburg, SC, and Linda Wood of Baltimore, MD; uncles, Thomas (Ramona) Wood of Spartanburg, SC, John Quincey Wood of Boiling Springs, SC and Robert (Anita) Briggs of Spartanburg, SC; godmother, Patty Wilkins of Bridgeport, CT; caretaker, Deidra Cohen of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
