Walter Hammitt Obituary
Walter Charles Hammitt, Jr. of Inman, SC passed away on February 27, 2026 at the age of 59. He was born in Spartanburg, SC on March 7, 1966 to the late Wanda Lee Bryant and the late Walter Charles Hammitt, Sr. He was the husband of the late Charlene Hammitt for 32 wonderful years.
He was a graduate of Chapman High School, was employed for many years at the Inman Mills Saybrook Plant, and loved fishing.
Walter is survived by his children, Cynthia Hammitt and Casey Hammitt; grandchildren, Tommy Nolan and Eric Hammitt; siblings, Donna, Missy, Catharine, and Joseph; and many nieces and nephews.
No services will be held at this time.
