Kimberly Anne Covington, 57, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Saturday, December 21, 2024 after a short battle with cancer, finding comfort in knowing that she would reunite with her beloved parents at the end of her journey. Born on May 23, 1967, Kim was the daughter of the late James Thomas Covington, Jr. and Barbara Elaine Hill Gray. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Peggy and Afshin Meymandi, and her uncle, Mike Hill.
Kim is survived by her loving family: her brothers, James Thomas Covington III, and Patrick Holt (wife Lisa, and children Austin and Hunter), and her three children, Brittany Cox (Taryn Masterson), Dylan Cox (Brianna Parsons), and Jared Lathan
Kim considered becoming a mother her greatest achievement and treasured her family above all else. She lived a life full of creativity and strength, embracing the beauty of the world through her love for art and nature. Talented in everything she ever tried, Kim’s passions ranged from painting to crafting to being the guardian of family stories and heirlooms.
