Legrande Richardson, 90, of Rockingham, completed his earthly journey on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
Mr. Richardson was born August 20, 1935 in Richmond County, a son of the late David Clinton and Easdale Shaw Taylor Richardson. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Ellerbe and had retired from Paul’s Plumbing, Heat and Air. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Pankey Richardson, children, Jimmy Richardson, Johnny Ray Richardson and Donna Kay Cassidy, and siblings, David Wiley Richardson, Worth Richardson, Wilbur Richardson, Mary Lena Bristow, Athos Richardson, Wayne Richardson, and Mazeleen Stewart.
Surviving are his daughter, Angie Martin (Alan); seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, and sisters, Evonne Phillips, and Annette Dawkins.
Funeral services will be at 12:30 pm Monday, December 22, 2025 at Carter Funeral Home Ellerbe with Revs. Danny Strickland, Leon Hawks and Wayne Luck officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 11:15am to 12:15 pm Monday at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe.
