Kimberly Jean (Long) DeMaranville, age 65, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at her home in Clinton, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, December 20, 2024 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel in Clinton. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at the Vansant Road Cemetery in Clinton, Missouri. Memorial contributions can be made to the Seeds of Faith Preschool and may be left in care of the funeral home.
Kim was born on March 14, 1959 in Clinton, Missouri to Gerald and Norma (Huey) Woods. She lost her dad at a young age, her mom remarried to Wayne Johnson, who helped raised her and she would refer to him as nothing but dad. Kim married Chris Long in 1978 and unto this union they had two daughters Amber and Crystal.
Kim was a lifelong bus driver for Clinton Public School District. She enjoyed spending time in her gardens, loved her flowers, baking, raising bobby calf's. She also enjoyed spending summers in the pool, and loved decorating for Christmas. Most of all Kim loved spending time with her family, her pride and joy were her grandchildren.
Kim discovered her new found love for learning to bow fish, hunt and most all things outdoors with her husband. She enjoyed family time and her weekly Sunday night dinners. She loved her family most of all, her husband, her 2 children and their husbands, her 3 step children & their spouses, her many grandchildren along with her dog Phoenix and her beloved cat cougar.
Kim is survived by her husband Rob, two daughters Amber (Jim) Hansen of Warsaw, Crystal (Cody) Lynch of Kansas City, 5 grandchildren Matthew Hansen, Emma Hansen, Harper Lynch, Sara Grace Hansen, and Cohen Lynch, her sister Kristi (Merle) Coke, brothers Terry (Michelle) Woods, and Gary (Amanda) Johnson, several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her dad Gerald, bonus dad Wayne Johnson, and her mom Norma Johnson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
