Kimberly Hendrick passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Missouri. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 3, 2025 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel in Clinton. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or The Pediatric Place: Family First Initiative, two organizations that held a special place in Kimberly's heart. Both causes greatly impacted her life, as two of her grandsons are superheroes in their own way.

Kimberly Dawn Howerton-Hendrick, age 57, of Clinton, Missouri, was born on November 27, 1967, in Clinton, Missouri, to Richard Leon Howerton and Janice Joyce (Fletcher) Howerton.

Kimberly had a gentle heart and a love for life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed sipping hot tea and reading a good book while relaxing in her hammock. She loved scrapbooking, making cards, and spending time with her family. Attending every event and activity for her grandchildren was one of her greatest joys-she never missed a chance to cheer them on.

Kimberly and the love of her life, Bill Hendrick, were united in marriage in May 2013. Her happy place was always the beach-she and Bill visited whenever they could, soaking in the peace and beauty of the ocean together.

Over the years, Kimberly worked for several local businesses, including Pizza Hut, Country Market, Kreisler Drug, and The Olde Crow Mercantile, where she made many dear friends along the way.

Kimberly is survived by her loving husband, Billy Hendrick; her son, Christopher Smith of Sedalia, Missouri; stepsons Troy Hendrick and wife Shannan of Clinton, Missouri, and Chad Hendrick and wife Brittany of Deepwater, Missouri; and her beloved grandsons, Spencer, Preston, Brennon, Parker, and Braden.

She also leaves behind her parents, Richard Leon Howerton and Janice Joyce Howerton, her sister, Tammy (John) Gill of Ozark, Missouri; nieces Sarah (Danny) Gutirrez of Nixa, Missouri, Emily (Bryce) Hammitt of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Allison Gill of Ozark, Missouri; and great-nieces and nephews Ava, Gabe, Claire, and Ryland.

Kimberly will be lovingly remembered by her brothers-in-law Russ (Sharon) Hendrick and Kenny (Becky) Hendrick of Clinton; sister-in-law Glenda Strouse of Clinton; and numerous friends who were touched by her kindness, creativity, and warm spirit.

Her gentle soul and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
