Kimberly Anne Holmes

Kimberly Anne Holmes, born to Doreen Collis and John Gutcher May 19,1959 Ontario Canada. On December 9, 2023, we bid farewell to Kimberly unexpectedly in Wilmington, NC. Preceding death her little sister Tammy Pierce. She will be remembered by her brother Michael Steele, Half-brother Dave Gutcher, and stepbrothers Allan and Mark. Her legacy will continue with her only daughter from Richard Holmes, Chelsey Michelle married to Juston Belton, and Kim will mostly be remembered as "Gee-Ma" to her four grandchildren Kameron, Justine, Charissa, and Marley Belton.
Kim became an American citizen in the 3rd grade, leading to graduating first in her class at Coastal Community as a Registered Nurse. The multiple accolades show through her time serving in the United States Marine Corps, she demonstrated unwavering dedication and an unyielding spirit. Kimberly was proud of her military service and received numerous awards and medals, highlighting her exceptional skills as a Rifle Sharpshooter, a competitive triathlon winner, along with medals of appreciation for saving another soldier's life during a sudden cardiac arrest, earning her the esteemed Meritorious Mast.
Throughout her life Kim was known for adventure: scuba diving, camping, biking, swimming, and racquetball with her devoted dog Karma by her side.
Her passion is shown through her paintings. Following in her father's footsteps, she became an avid painter producing more than 100 oil paintings.
